Riding a seven game losing streak, NIU men’s basketball (6-11, 0-5 MAC) will have two opportunities to earn its first conference victory of the season.
The Huskies will first take on the 2022-23 MAC runner-up, the University of Toledo Rockets (11-7, 5-1 MAC), at home Tuesday and will then travel to Indiana to take on the Ball State University Cardinals (9-9, 1-5 MAC) Saturday.
The Huskies are in search of their first win since Dec. 18 over Calumet College.

NIU women’s basketball (9-8, 3-3 MAC) goes on the road, looking to start a winning streak with a big victory against the University of Toledo (12-3, 5-0 MAC). Then, the Huskies return home to the Convocation Center to face the University of Akron (6-10, 1-5 MAC).
Senior forward Brooke Stonebraker looks to continue a streak of four games with at least 12 points, 9 rebounds and a block.
GYMNASTICS
Sunday, Jan. 28: vs. Central Michigan University and Eastern Michigan University, 2 p.m.

Nine days removed from a record-setting scoring performance at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic, NIU gymnastics (2-3-1, 1-0 MAC) returns home at 2 p.m. Sunday for its first home meet of 2024. The Huskies will host MAC foes Central Michigan (3-2, 1-0 MAC) and Eastern Michigan (1-3, 0-2 MAC) after spending the first three weeks of the season on the road.
WRESTLING
Saturday, Jan 27: vs. Central Michigan University, 1 p.m.

NIU wrestling returns to the Convocation Center to protect a flawless 7-0 home record against Central Michigan University. The Huskies reclaimed the top spot in the MAC West following a 28-15 road victory over MAC foe Cleveland State University on Friday.
