DeKALB – NIU Career Services will host the All-Majors Internship and Job fair at the Convocation Center Wednesday.
The fair will be from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Convocation Center.
The fair is open for all NIU students and alumni to connect with possible employers for full-time or part-time positions, student jobs and internships. Currently, 123 employers are registered to attend the fair.
“The all majors’ internship and job fair is just that,” said Brian Pillsbury, director of Career Services. “All students should give it a try, and all employers are hoping to get a look at prospective employees.”
The fair is open to undergraduates, graduate students, graduating seniors, alumni and non-NIU candidates.
“Because the job fair is open to anyone, I am able to invite my friend who is transferring to NIU in the fall to attend the job fair as well,” said Taylor Lipe, sophomore special education major. “I like that it not only benefits me, but also people I know who need to contact different employers.”
While reservations are not required for this event, preparation is encouraged. Dress professionally and bring copies of resumes for employers. One Cards are required to check-in for the event.
NIU Career Services is offering to take free LinkedIn headshots at the fair.
Transportation to the Convocation Center is provided through the NIU bus system. The route 2L and 2R stop at the Convocation Center. For those who might commute, free parking is available.
