DeKALB – Ballots are open for students to elect their 2024-2025 Student Government Association representatives.
SGA elections opened Monday and will close at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
Students can vote online through Huskie Hub, which is open to all NIU students.
Positions for president, vice president, treasurer and student trustee are on the first page of the ballot. The second page is dedicated to the senators.
There are two different tickets.
“NIU United” features candidates Ja’kobe Jones for president, James Innis for vice president, Ethan Pesavento for treasurer and Aidan O’Brien for student trustee.
“NIU Unity” features Alexia Musgraves for president, Khardell Phelps for vice president, Ryan Kramer for treasurer and Jeremiah Johnson for student trustee.
“Vote for change that you wanna see on campus,” Sergeant-At-Arms Niko Bereolos said. “If you’re trying to see more diversity, vote for the senators that are serving underserved communities. Vote for the ones you think are the best fit for that.”
According to the SGA website, their mission “is to voice the concerns and questions of you, the student body, to the university administration.”
