Coming off a home three-game sweep at the hands of the Bowling Green State University Falcons last week (15-10, 12-0 MAC), NIU baseball (10-21, 6-9 MAC) is once again on the road this week in Huskie sports. The Huskies competed with the MAC’s best in the first two games of the set before losing by slaughter rule in the final game of the series.
The Huskies will first travel Tuesday to Charleston to take on the Eastern Illinois University Panthers (9-18, 4-5 Ohio Valley Conference), before heading to Champaign for the weekend to face the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Fighting Illini (16-13, 7-2 Big Ten) in a three-game series.

NIU softball (9-23, 3-9 MAC) looks to rebound after a three-game sweep over the weekend as the Huskies travel to Peoria to face Bradley University (18-19, 8-6). NIU carries a three-game winning streak against Bradley, with two wins last season and another in 2003.
Then, the Huskies return home to play the No. 2 team in the MAC, the University of Toledo Rockets (18-14, 9-3 MAC). NIU is 3-7 against Toledo since 2021.

NIU women’s tennis (13-9, 2-4 MAC) looks to improve its conference record after losing three of the last five matches against MAC opponents. The Huskies will take on the University of Toledo (13-4, 6-0 MAC) on the road before returning home and facing Bowling Green State University (7-11, 0-6 MAC).

NIU track and field will travel to Edwardsville, Illinois, for a one- day invitational hosted by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. This will be the Huskies’ fifth meet in the last three weeks.
NIU’s high jump duo of freshman Arianna Calloway and junior Kamiya Dendy impressed last week at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, as both jumpers took top 10 finishes. Calloway finished in eighth place with a jump of 1.72 meters and Dendy finished in 10th place with a jump of 1.67 meters.
