Joseph Howerton, Former Video Editor
Joseph Howerton is a senior communications major and is minoring in digital media production. He has been apart of the Northern Star as a news reporter since October 2022 and is currently the Video section editor.
Between his work at the Star and studies at NIU, Joseph works at the Sycamore Public Library’s circulation desk and runs the library’s D&D youth group.
In his freetime he enjoys watching movies, playing video games, D&D, cosplay and writing.

Ria Pathak, Former Videographer
Ria Pathak is a junior graphic design major minoring in marketing and has been with the Northern Star since September 2023.
Ria likes to create art, read, play video games, be outdoors and cook when she has time. She enjoys using all mediums to create art including photography, painting, digital design and drawing.
