DeKALB – NIU senior guard Keshawn Williams announced his commitment to Colorado State University for the 2024-25 season via his Instagram on Monday.

Williams is the third of seven 2023-24 Huskies that entered the transfer portal to commit to a new school.

Sophomore forward Yanic Konan Niederhauser announced his commitment to The Pennsylvania State University on April 15 and sophomore forward Xavier Amos announced his commitment to the University of Wisconsin-Madison on Monday.

When healthy, Williams was the Huskies’ top scorer during his three-year NIU tenure. An ACL tear ended his 2022-23 season just two games into MAC play and a season-ending injury limited Williams to just one game in 2023-24.

In a fully healthy 2021-22 campaign, Williams led the Huskies in scoring at 16.3 points per game. Williams also averaged 3.3 rebounds per game and 1 steal per game. Before his injury in 2022-23, Williams was averaging 17.9 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game on 47% shooting.

Across 45 games and 38 starts, Williams finished his NIU career with averages of 16.6 points per game and 3.7 rebounds per game. Williams’ best game as a Huskie came against Indiana State University on Dec. 22, 2022, scoring 32 points, grabbing 9 rebounds and swiping 2 steals.
