DeKALB – The Involvement Fair will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at MLK Commons. At the event, students are given the opportunity to explore a variety of organizations and clubs. This event is a space for students to discover new passions and find like-minded people who could be friends.
Students can find a club or organization at the Involvement Fair to join. This event is free to attend and available for all students.
NIU has over 200 clubs and organizations that students can be a part of, according to the NIU website. Students can also see all clubs and organizations through Huskie Hub.
Students who may not be able to attend the Involvement Fair but would still like to join a club or organization can reach out to [email protected] or individual student organizations for more information.
Campus Meets Community:
The annual Campus Meets Community Block Party will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the MLK Commons. The event will feature over 50 local businesses and organizations from the DeKalb area.
The Campus Meets Community Block Party will take place in conjunction with the Involvement Fair and is a free event.
The event aims to welcome NIU students, new and returning, back to campus according to the NIU Events Calendar. Students will have the opportunity to discover local resources, get coupons and samples and network with local businesses. There will also be food vendors along with music and giveaways.
The forecast for Wednesday predicts a sunny high of 81 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
