DeKALB – After making The Associated Press Top 25 for the first time in over a decade last week, NIU football climbed two spots in the rankings in the latest poll released Sunday.
NIU, who spent the past week on a bye, are now ranked No. 23 in AP Top 25. The Huskies leapfrogged the University of Arizona and Boston College – who both suffered losses Saturday – to attain their highest poll ranking since they were ranked No. 16 in Week 15 of the 2013 season.
NIU is joined in the Top 25 by the University of Illinois and Texas A&M University at Nos. 24 and 25, respectively.
