This weekend, the Epsilon Phi chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will host a series of events to celebrate their 60th anniversary of being at NIU.
Events will run on campus from Friday to Sunday. All are welcome to learn about the chapter’s history and legacy while celebrating alongside current brothers and alum.
The first event is at 3 p.m. Friday at the Convocation Center Bell, where brothers will honor those of their chapter that have transitioned to the Omega Chapter, their chapter of rest.
The main event of the weekend is the Diamond Jubilee Gala. The formal event begins at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center. The gala will feature awards, entertainment and guest speakers, all to honor and celebrate Epsilon Phi’s proud legacy of brotherhood, leadership and service.
Closing out the weekend, there will be a breakfast and time for fellowship where members and friends can look to the future of their chapter on Sunday. The location and time have not yet been announced.
With other smaller social events planned throughout the weekend, there will be plenty of opportunities for chapter brothers and NIU community members alike to celebrate Epsilon Phi’s historic 60th anniversary.
