Spike awards
February 12, 1991
Spiking has now given way to dunking at Chick Evans Field House, but the echos from the recently completed volleyball season can still be heard at the field house.
Postseason awards for NIU’s 26-8 volleyball team were recently announced by head Huskie Pete Waite. Co-Most Valuable Players were Kari Niesen and Becky Ramsey. Most Improved Player was Andrea Baker, and the Huskie F.I.G.H.T. Award went to Julie Kreiling-Zinke.
Niesen and Ramsey were also named 1990 All-North Star Conference honorees.
