On Saturday, the brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon had their pre-opening open house from noon to 5 p.m. to celebrate their new home.
People in attendance were able to tour the house and get a first-hand look of their new home as well as meet and fraternize with the brothers and alumni of the house. Food and snacks such as pizza were provided.
On April 12, the brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon will hold another open house at noon where Mayor Cohen Barns and NIU President Lisa Freeman will do a ribbon cutting ceremony, along with over 100 Sigma Phi Epsilon alumni from the past and present in attendance.
The Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter of NIU has not had their own house since 2007. The new house of Sigma Phi Epsilon is located at 920 W. Hillcrest Drive.
