Live, from Alaska, it’s the NIU women’s basketball team. Huskie fans can follow their favorite team on WKDI radio as they compete in the Northern Lights Women’s Basketball Tournament Feb. 22-24.

WKDI sports director Jesse Rogers will provide the play-by-play direct from the Great White North starting with Friday’s (Feb. 22) game against Texas-San Antonio (11 p.m.). The game will be broadcast on WKDI, 93.5 FM, with an audio simulcast on Warner Cable’s TV-8.

The times of the second and third round NIU games will be announced after the first round is completed. The broadcast is being sponsored by Contel of Illinois.

Other teams in the field are New Mexico State, Appalachian State, Louisville, Northern Arizona, Alaska-Anchorage, Georgia State and Texas-San Antonio.
