As you read books – whether as children or students – there may be many fictional characters, whether it be from books, TV shows or movies that students relate to and dream of being best friends with.
NIU students provided their thoughts on who their fictional best friend would be and why.
Christian Martinez, a sophomore music education major, relates to Buxter Baxter.
Q: “If you could be friends with any fictional character, who would it be and why?”
A: “I would probably do Buxter Baxter from ‘Arthur.’ I could relate to him a lot, I love eating, stinky shoes, everything.”
Emily Burris, a sophomore chemistry and meteorology major, would be friends with Jo March from “Little Women.”
Q: “If you could be friends with any fictional character, who would it be and why?”
A: “Jo March because she’s very smart and I want to pick her brain.”
Amanda Brown, a sophomore psychology major, would be friends with Monkey D. Luffy.
Q: If you could be friends with any fictional character, who would it be and why?”
A: “I would be friends with Monkey D. Luffy from “One Piece.”
Kendall Sibley, a senior finance major, would be friends with the Genie.
Q: “If you could be friends with any fictional character, who would it be and why?”
A: “Fictional character best friend would be Genie from “Aladdin” because, I mean, he’s a genie. He can grant me whatever wish I want. And then two, I’m hoping that he’s either free or not free, I would still set him free after I get my two wishes.”
