In the newest edition to the NIU Art Museum, this exhibition explores the meaning of dreams. It features work from 13 different artists: Brandin Barón, Natalie Christensen, Marcella Hackbardt, Sandra Leonard, B. Lynch, Alejandro Mazon, Mark Pease, Mary Porterfield, Janelle Rebel, Jeffrey Rinehart, Maria Robinson, Martha Wagner and Liu Yang.
This exhibition is free for all to attend and will be open until May 10.

Location: Music Building, Boutell Memorial Concert Hall
The NIU School of Music will perform “Nina: o sia La pazza per amore,” an opera created by Giovanni Paisiello, this weekend. Tickets for the first and second showing must be purchased online before the performance and are free for NIU students, $15 for the general public and $10 for non-NIU students, seniors and staff.

Location: Black Box Theatre, Stevens Building
This production by the School of Theatre and Dance tells the story of a young refugee named Anon who journeys through the U.S. in search of his missing family. Throughout the story, Anon will encounter all kinds of people, some nice and others not so much.
Tickets for the first, second and third showtimes are free for NIU students if they register ahead of time, $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and staff and $12 for non-NIU students.

Location: Latino Center
Join the Center for Latino and Latin American Studies and the Latino Resource Center for a road trip to see the Puerto Rican Art Museum, the Chicago Hip Hop Museum and an evening at a restaurant. The group will leave from the NIU Latino Center at 9 a.m. and an RSVP is required.

Location: Holmes Student Center
Karoshi-Con is a massive annual anime convention that takes place across the first floor of the Holmes Student Center. The convention features several activities such as artists and vendors, game tournaments, a board game table, a cosplay contest and more.
Pre-registration before entering the event is required and admission is free.
Date and Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday
Location: DeKalb Public Library
Several areas of the DeKalb Public Library will be changed to fit the theme of six different worlds and feature treats, crafts, furry friends from TAILS, games and more. This event is free for all to attend and no registration is required.
RICK LINDY & THE JUKEBOX LEGENDS

Location: Egyptian Theatre
Atomic vocalist Rick Lindy and The Jukebox Legends will be playing songs in tribute to rock n’ roll stars from the 50s and 60s such as Elvis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison and more. Tickets range between $27 and $37 per person.
