New pastor joins ministry

A new associate pastor for campus ministry will be joining Immanuel Lutheran Church Sunday.
The Rev. Rick Milas will join the ministry headed by the Rev. E. George Krause in a special service Sunday at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Theodore Hessel from Shorewood, Wis. will deliver the installation sermon. NIU and Kishwaukee College students will serve as readers, ushers and greeters at the service.
An informal reception will be held after the service to allow everyone to greet the new campus pastor.
Milas is transferring from St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Allis, Wis. where he was an associate pastor. He also has served as pastor at Clinton, Ill. and as campus pastor at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
Milas will replace Associate Pastor Norman Steffen who retired last September.
Milas is a 1975 graduate of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston. He received his Master of Divinity degree in 1979 at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne. Ind.
Milas and his wife Martha have one son, John, and are expecting another child soon. Martha Milas is a teacher and vocalist.
