DeKALB – The DeKalb County History Center and Ellwood House Museum invites the community out to their Desserts and Dialogue event at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 9.
Desserts and Dialogue will be an evening full of connection and conversation. The event aims to give DeKalb County residents the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of their shared history with open conversations and desserts.
Hosted by the Arts in Action project, Desserts and Dialogue takes place throughout the year, with the event planned to take place throughout 2026 with each event holding a different topic for discussion.
The event’s discussion will be themed around “building bridges” with future discussions based around highlighting local historical spaces, exploring how shared stories shape us and hearing all perspectives.
Residents are encouraged to explore the newest Arts in Action exhibition from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m in Ellwood House Museum galleries before the event begins.
While the event is free, registering ahead is recommended. The event will take place at the Ellwood House Museum Visitor Center, 420 Linden Place, in DeKalb.
