Noodles and Company ceases operations in DeKalb

DeKALB — After 21 years in business, Noodles and Company shut down its DeKalb location.

The location originally opened in December 2004 after the company announced plans to open a restaurant at 2561 Sycamore Road. Ceasing operations completely, the business is no longer taking orders.

The restaurant offered various menu items such as macaroni and cheese, ramen and spaghetti.

A note on the front doors confirmed the closure.

“We’re sorry to say, this Noodles and Company location is permanently closed,” the note reads. “We’ve thoroughly enjoyed serving you and appreciate all your support.”

The reason for the restaurant’s closure remains unclear. The website for the DeKalb location no longer exists and the number automatically hangs up on callers.

The closest remaining Noodles and Company locations are in Elgin, St. Charles and Aurora.
