Well-O-Ween will feature a variety of events throughout the week focused on improving mental health with a spooky twist on them.
Date and Time: 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday
Location: Outdoor Recreation Sports Complex
The Latino Resource Center will host an evening bonfire in addition to telling spooky Latin American legends, myths and stories such as the Yucamama, El Silbón, La Llorona and more. Free smores will also be provided and an RSVP is recommended.
LEBOWSKI GAMES – BOWLING AFTER THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (BAZA)
Date and Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday
Location: Holmes Student Center, Huskie Den
Take part in a bowling tournament in the Huskie Den but with a bit of a twist. Games will be hand scored with no electronic scorekeeping allowed. The scorekeepers who keep track of the proper score will receive a prize. The tournament will have black lights turned on and visitors are encouraged to bring their own costumes. Entry into the tournament is $3 per participant.
HALLOWEEN IS THE QUEEREST HOLIDAY: FANGTASTIC 4: MORE LORE THAN EVER BEFORE!

Location: Peters Campus Life Building, Room 132
The Gender and Sexuality Resource Center will host the fourth installment of this event where visitors will be able to participate in a spooky egg hunt, movie watching, crafting contest and more. This event is free for all to attend.
FALL 2025 GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL FAIR
Date and Time: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday
Location: Holmes Student Center, Duke Ellington Ballroom
This fair is designed to help students, alumni and community members learn more about aspects of graduate and professional school. Visitors will be able to interact with recruiters from various graduate and professional school programs and learn of the kind of work they do. The fair will be free for all to attend.

Location: Fatty’s Bar and Grille
The Student Bar Association will host a Halloween party where visitors can win prizes through costume contests. The party will be free for all to attend.
NIU ADVENTURES WEEKLY THURSDAY CAMPFIRES
Date and Time: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday
Location: Recreation Center, Adventure Center
NIU Adventures will be hosting their final weekly campfire event and invites the community to enjoy an evening of chill vibes, music, trivia and hot drinks. This event is free for all to attend.
KISHWAUKEE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA HALLOWEEN CONCERT
Date and Time: 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday
Location: Music Building, Boutell Memorial Concert Hall
The Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra will be performing their annual Halloween concert featuring iconic Halloween songs while the musicians are dressed in costumes. This event is free for all to attend.
FOR COLORED GIRLS WHO HAVE CONSIDERED SUICIDE/ WHEN THE RAINBOW IS ENUF
Date and Time: 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 2 p.m. Sunday
Location: Stevens Building, O’Connell Theatre
Based on the work of Ntozake Shange, this performance by the School of Theatre and Dance centers around the perspectives of seven women who suffered through sexism and racism. Tickets are free for NIU students, $20 for the general public, $18 for seniors and staff and $12 for non-NIU students.
HUSKIE GAMING HALLOWEEN PARTY AND COSTUME/COSPLAY CONTEST
Date and Time: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday
Location: Altgeld Hall, Room 100
The NIU Huskie Gaming Club will be hosting a Halloween party and costume contest and invites visitors to compete for the chance to win a Turtle Beach keyboard. This event is free for all to attend and registration is recommended.
