Cartoon: Masks for bigotry
A cartoon depicts a man trying on various masks. He comments how he is unable to breathe in the first, a mandated medical mask issued during the 2020 pandemic. The second, labelled “ICE” and the third, a KKK hood, he finds much more agreeable. Assistant Opinion Editor Lupita Diaz thinks conservative lawmakers are hypocritical and pursue their true bigoted, racist agendas behind a mask of doing what they think is best for the country.
