With the addition of North Dakota State University to the Mountain West Conference, NIU announced a new conference schedule on Tuesday. The Huskies’ full schedule, including dates and times, will be announced at a later date.
The Huskies will no longer travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and instead will travel to Fargo, North Dakota, to take on North Dakota State for the third time in program history. NIU is 0-2 against the Bison, with losses in 1968 and 1969.
NIU will also travel to Laramie, Wyoming, to take on the University of Wyoming, rather than hosting the Cowboys.
The Huskies will still host the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the University of Nevada, Reno, and the University of Texas at El Paso, while adding the U. S. Air Force Academy to the home slate.
In addition to North Dakota and Wyoming, NIU will travel to San Jose, California, to take on San Jose State University and Las Vegas, Nevada, to face the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
