For the 2026 World Music Festival the School of Music will perform Music of Thailand. This performance is an exploration of the tonal tapestry and traditional instruments of Thailand and Laos along with a cultural exhibition in the lobby where participants can see the traditions of Songkran (Thai New Years).
This concert is free and open to the public.

Taste of Spring will return to downtown Sycamore Thursday for an evening of wine tasting and shopping where you can walk through downtown shops and sip 20 curated wines with “small bites” at several businesses in Sycamore.
The starting and check-in location will be at the Old National Bank at 30 W. State St in Sycamore. Check-in will take place between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

On Friday the Liverpool Legends are coming to the Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb. Liverpool Legends is a Beatles tribute group put together by Louise Harrison, sister of the late George Harrison, to honor her brother and The Beatles.
They will perform “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” ”She Loves You” and “Twist and Shout” among other hit songs by The Beatles.

The third annual DeKalb County Earth Fest will take place in the Founders Memorial Library. DeKalb County Earth Fest is a free, family-friendly community festival celebrating local climate action.
Hosted by DeCarbon DeKalb and co-presented by NIU Sustainability, Earth Fest brings together the community, local experts, youth voices, food, art and practical solutions for a healthier, more resilient DeKalb County.
