April 12, 1990
University Police are looking for two male suspects in the reported sexual assault of an NIU woman.
The woman told UPs Tuesday afternoon that she was sexually assaulted by two men earlier that day at 2 a.m., said UP Lt. Ken Kaiser. The incident occurred near Huskie Stadium, he said.
“It’s unfortunate,” UP Sgt. Edward Bohn said. He said the assault cannot be categorized as acquaintance or date rape.
One suspect is a white male in his mid-20s, police said. He was wearing a florescent green jacket with pink stripes and is about 6 feet 2 inches tall with medium-length brown hair, police said.
The other suspect is a male Hispanic with a dark complexion and long black hair, police said. He is about 5 feet 8 inches and was wearing a flannel shirt, jeans, Nike Air Jordan tennis shoes and a gold chain, police said.
There are no campus security phones near the stadium, Bohn said.
NIU’s Sexual Assault Response Team also has been notified and is looking into the incident, Kaiser said. SART includes the UPs, NIU’s Health Center, judicial office and counseling services.
