Fallon gains support

Campus Activities Board executives and some CAB coordinators endorsed Student Association Senate Speaker John Fallon for SA president.

CAB President Brett White; Barry Moscowitz, Programming and Activities vice president; and Wendy Reid, vice president for Internal and Minority Affairs are backing Fallon, as well as eight CAB coordinators.

Fallon “is a good candidate who worked well with CAB even before any controversy began,” Reid said. CAB recently began an effort to take away student fee dispersion responsibilities from the SA Finance Committee.

White said committee coordinators endorsing Fallon are Nicole Reidman, Springfest; Grace Tenuta, Travel; Ed Partyka, Coffeehouse; Gina Reeves, Advertising; Christy Nosek, Unity in Diversity; Jen Langell, Films; Dione Labonar, Recreation and John Long, Homecoming.

White said if Fallon is elected, he will promote “wellness on campus” but in particular throughout CAB.

Fallon said he is appreciative of the endorsement and has had a good relationship with CAB as senate speaker. He said he hopes to continue that as SA president.

SA elections are scheduled for April 11 and 12.
