University of Illinois staged a comeback the second day of its Illini Spring Classic Women’s Golf Tournament, outshooting 36-hole leader NIU to regain the tournament title.

NIU, a four stroke leader over Illinois at the end of Friday’s first 36-holes of play, ran into a couple of technical problems and the hot-shooting Illini duo of Renee Heiken and Lia Biehl Saturday.

Kim Hodge was the low Huskie with rounds of 74-80-80, 237 for a second-place individual finish.
