Senate to vote on campus budgets
April 6, 1990
The Student Association Senate will tackle campus organizational budgets at Sunday’s meeting.
SA finance committee members have reviewed the budgets of SA- sponsored organizations and the committee will present its recommendations at the 6 p.m. senate meeting in the Holmes Student Center’s Capitol Room.
Of the 11 budgets which will be reviewed, the finance committee will recommend that nine organizations receive less money than they requested.
Each recommended budget is justified with specific reasons for cuts or increases. “Organizations are asked to keep requests in line with what they were allocated” last year, said SA Treasurer Bruce Williams.
The 11 budgets, their requests and recommendations include:
African Students Union—requested: $3,784, recommended: $1,166,
