Conference hosts speakers

A career conference, “Foreign Languages and Your Career,” will be in the Holmes Student Center’s Illinois Room April 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be eight guest speakers giving personal advice and information based on experience using foreign language in the business world. ‘Magic Flute’ performance

Mozart’s “Magic Flute” will be performed April 28 at 8 p.m. in the Music Building’s Boutell Memorial Concert Hall. Guest soloists include Amanda Halgrimson of Naperville and an NIU graduate and Chicagoan Glen Siebert. Other roles will be played by NIU faculty and alumni. Ticket prices are from $12.50 to $25. Hospice sponsors service

DeKalb County Hospice invites all family members of former Hospice patients to a Service of Remembrance on April 29 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of DeKalb on N. Fourth and Oak Streets. A reception will follow the service. Contact the Hospice office at 756-3000 by April 25 to attend.

Center holds luncheon

The Women’s Board of the Norris Cultural Arts Center will hold its General Membership Meeting and luncheon on May 22 at the Dunham Woods Riding Club in Wayne, Ill. The theme will be spring stitchery.
