Police seek pizza store owner

DeKalb Police are searching for the owner and employees of Sam’s Pizza, 110 East Hillcrest Drive and 114 E. Lincoln Hwy., in connection with damage and missing equipment of more than $12,000 to the restaurant.

Owner Michael J. Stafseth, 805 Roosevelt Court, is wanted for questioning after extensive damage to the inside of one or both of the DeKalb restaurants he leases from Donald L. Arado, Chicago. DeKalb Police believe the businesses were open Thursday evening and the damage occurred when the contents were moved. The police were unable to comment at which location the damage occurred.

Wayne Distributing Co., 209 Grove St., reported the jukebox and cigarette machine leased to the restaurant were also taken from the business, police said. Damages and the missing equipment total $12,650.

Sam’s Pizza forfeited its DeKalb liquor license Thursday after selling alcohol while having a suspended liquor license for not paying $3,123 in liquor tax.
