Bessie the Cow can sleep easy due to game

By Gina Quilici

Cow tipping is one of the oldest forms of troublemaking known to the residents of a farm town.

DeKalb and the surrounding areas are no exception. As a matter of fact, with Northern Illinois University so close, it would seem quite likely that DeKalb area farmers would dread the late night activity more than most.

It is not uncommon for intoxicated, or just daring, students to come up with the idea when deciding what to do after the bars close and the parties end.

The group gathers their flashlights, and heads out for the country amidst giggles and unsteady footsteps. Meanwhile, poor ol‘ Bossie and the gang sleep peacefully beneath the moon and stars, unaware of the trauma that will befall them.

Decipher, Inc. has created a new way to tip cows that is a lot more fun, and doesn’t involve the mess, the guilt or the legal problems that the traditional method brings.

Decipher has just launched its new game “Tip The Cows” on the University of Connecticut.

According to Decipher president Warren Holland, the University of Connecticut was chosen because legend has it that is where cow tipping originated.

University of Connecticut sources said it was a big hit.

The game was featured at a popular nightspot on the university campus, and everyone was interested.

The game went over so well that night, that two fraternities held a competition with the game the next morning. The losing fraternity had to furnish a free steak dinner for every member of the winning group.

Tip The Cows possesses two cow shaped playing pieces, a cattleprod (pen), cowculator (scorecard), rules, cow environments and a genuine imitation cowhide wallet to store everything in.

Tip The Cows is just beginning its debut on the market, and is presently retailing for $12. If the game can’t be found in the local department, gift or toy store, call Decipher at (804) 623-3600 for a list of stores near you that do carry the product. However, this number can also be used to order the game directly.

With a little luck, the American public will discover how much fun the game is, and all the cows everywhere can once again rest peacefully out in the fresh country air.
