Recycling campaign

DeKalb Mayor Greg Sparrow has proclaimed the week of September 17 through 23 as “Waste Reduction and Recycling Week.” In his proclamation, Sparrow urges all citizens of the DeKalb community to join with the League of Women Voters of DeKalb County in reducing, reusing and recycling resources.

Designer courses

Emphasis on management theory and practice for designers will be the topic of two courses offered by NIU for designers at NIU’s near northside Chicago art gallery, 212 W. Superior St.

Art 580, Contexts of Design, will meet on Wednesdays and Marketing 505, Graduate Survey of Marketing. on Mondays. Both classes will meet from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Class sessions begin Monday and run through Nov. 27 and can be applied toward an NIU graduate degree. For more information, call 753-1450.
