SA saved by write-in candidates
September 15, 1989
The Student Association will have a full house, thanks in part to numerous write-in candidates.
Elections Commissioner Ray Callahan said results for candidates who turned in petitions and were officially listed on the ballot are correct. Callahan said the results were tabulated three times, “especially on the close” races.
However, the Elections Committee must verify the districts and academic standing of senators elected by write-in votes before they become official. Write-in candidates are denoted by an *.
