Minority scholarships offered

Applications for the Delta Sigma Theta sorority local scholarship will be available Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in Room 303 of the Holmes Student Center.
Applicants must be minority freshmen or sophomores who have completed between 24 and 59 semester hours and have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0.
International Business Night
The NIU chapter of AIESEC will sponsor an International Business Night Tuesday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Capitol Room of the Holmes Student Center. A panel of representatives from five corporations will discuss the rising demand for international business and how students can prepare careers in business.
‘Comedy Week’ activities
The week of March 27-31 is “Comedy Week,” sponsored by NIU’s Campus Activities Board. Six free events will take place that week at the Holmes Student Center.
The first three performances will take place at 8 p.m. in Sandburg Auditorium. On Monday, guitarist Tom Anzalone will perform, followed Tuesday by Comedy Entertainer of the Year nominee Electric Zoot Suit. Michael Floorwax will appear Wednesday.
Abrams and Anderson, nominees for Campus Entertainers of the Year, will appear Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Duke Ellington Ballroom. On Friday, Paul Venier will perform at 8 p.m. in the ballroom, followed by MTV’s Collin Quinn at 9:15 p.m.
Absentee ballots available
Phi Beta Sigma fraternity will provide absentee ballot applications for Chicago’s mayoral election from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday outside the Pow Wow Cafeteria in the Holmes Student Center. Applicants must be registered to vote in Chicago.
Networking group to meet
The Networking for Families group will hold its monthly meeting at noon Tuesday at the Salvation Army, 830 Grove St. “Pregnant and Parenting Teens” will be the discussion topic. For more information, call Jo Ann Skabo at 758-8194.
