Pre-business orientation

The Career Advisory Board is sponsoring orientation nights for pre-business majors tonight at 9 p.m. in Grant Towers North lounge and Wednesday at 9 p.m. in Douglas Hall cafeteria.

Undergraduate business advisers, the dean of undergraduate studies and class coordinators will be available to answer students’ questions about requirements, deadlines and procedures for entering the College of Business.

A second set of orientation nights will be held on Feb. 28 and March 1.

Friendship seminar

A seminar entitled “How to be a good friend to yourself and others” will be held today at 9:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1915 N. First St, DeKalb.

The discussion on friendship and strengthening personal relationship skills is sponsored by Family Connections. Jo Ann Skabo of the DeKalb County Co-op Extension Service is the featured speaker.

Concert to be held

The Tone Road Ramblers, a contemporary music ensemble, will perform tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Espacio Cinco, 1021 E. State St, DeKalb. The ensemble features former NIU student Erik Lund.

A donation of $3 will be collected at the door.

The ensemble also will perform on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Boutell Concert Hall in the NIU Music Building. Admission is free to the Wednesday concert.
