I am outraged about the parking situation here at NIU. Last semester, parking stickers were $9, so why did the price increase to $30? What is NIU trying to pull on its students?

And also, there is a problem with finding parking spaces on campus. Students have to park almost a mile away from their dorms and students still don’t know if his/her car is safe from burglary and/or theft.

There is a lot of open land close to the campus that could be used for parking facilities, but is NIU willing to spend the money or put forth an effort? As students we pay enough tuition to have much better parking facilities than what NIU provides.
