A free, meatless pre-Thanksgiving dinner, sponsored by the Student Committee for Animal Welfare, will be served Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Newman Center, 512 Normal Road.

The dinner will include a casserole, vegetarian stew, fresh fruit salad, dinner salad, cranberries, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, homemade rolls and pumpkin pie. Members of SCAW will prepare the meal.

The homeless, students and the general public are invited, said Sandy Delery, a co-coordinator of SCAW. The group anticipates serving about 60 people.

Leftover food will be donated to the Public Action to Deliver Shelter, DeKalb’s shelter for the homeless.
