DeKalb 3rd Ward residents will discuss obtaining low-interest loans at a home improvements meeting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the Plummers and Pipefitters Local No. 612, 637 N. 11th St.

Bill Nicklas, director of building and community services, will present options for funding to repair exteriors of buildings in DeKalb. About $75,000 for repair loans might be available from the city’s $300,000 rehabilitaton fund, he said.

At the meeting, residents can decide whether they are interested in any of the options Nicklas discusses. However, any action will be subject to DeKalb City Council approval, Nicklas said.
