The Oct. 4 column by Marianne Renner is one of the most ridiculous, or should I say absurd columns I have ever read in The Northern Star.

Who gives you, Marianne, the right to call 18-year-olds peewees? In what way you got on the writing staff I will never know. But I do know that some of your statements are pretty harsh. Your first reason is agreeable, but come on, how can you say that 18-year-olds will be “throwing up all over,” when there are 21-year-olds now “who blow chunks on their roommates.”

I must begin to think that Ms. Renner is a minor herself, or one who has a so-called maturity level of an 18-year-old. I wish I could of heard the other five reasons!
