The Illinois Board of Higher Education will discuss information today concerning fiscal year 1988 salaries in Illinois colleges and universities, and the planning and budget issues for FY90.

The board, which meets at 9 a.m. at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Ill., also will appoint members to the board’s advisory committees.

David Ripley, NIU Leadership and Education Policy Studies professor is applying for an appointment on the Faculty Advisory Committee for the board.

The board will also decide on whether or not to approve locally funded construction projects for Wright Community College and Spoon River College, and will decide which new units of instruction will be given to community colleges which have applied for them.
