Public peace tops agenda

The DeKalb City Council will discuss adding amendments designed to strengthen an ordinance pertaining to disturbing the public peace at tonight’s 8 p.m. meeting at the DeKalb Municipal building, 200 S. Fourth St.

The amendments to Chapter 52, which relates to violations against public peace, safety and morals, will clarify definitions to facilitate law enforcement, DeKalb Assistant City Manager Gary Boden said. City attorney Ronald Matekaitis wrote the amendments.
