A female NIU student reported to University Police that she was the victim of a criminal sexual assault in a Douglas Residence Hall room Saturday between 1:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

UP Lt. Ron Williams said two of three suspects involved in the assault have been tentatively identified.

None of the three suspects are NIU students he said.

No arrests have been made, but UPs are working with the DeKalb County State’s Attorney’s office in investigation of the incident.

Williams said he anticipates arrests will be made pending the joint investigation.
