Forensics Director Jack Parker will try to develop the theme that “the law is communication” to let students to know “the practice of law involves communication.”

Parker, also the American Society of Trial Consultants secretary treasurer, said he will “examine the law as a communications phenomenon” today at 9 p.m. in Swen Parson 188.

Phi Alpha Delta, a pre-law fraternity, is sponsoring Parker’s lecture. PAD Vice President Sue Rudd said Parker will speak on the different aspects of communications and law.

e will list various examples to support his ideas that “in order to be effective in a courtroom or outside the courtroom, one must look at it from the perspective of communication,” he said.
