Moyer suggested that council member Dorathea Beard draft the council’s statement and present it to the task force at the hearings. The open hearing will be Oct. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m. and Oct. 20 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Holmes Student Center room 506.

The council also discussed the undergraduate environment committee, which would be another standing committee of the proposed undergraduate coordinating council.

Council member Bob Wheeler questioned the rationale behind the formation of the committee.

Moyer said the charge of the committee was to improve the quality of academic life for students on campus.
