NIU President John LaTourette will be a guest on WLBK’s call-in show, “Party line”, on Friday.

WLBK News Director Mike McPhillips said the show’s host will ask LaTourette questions for the first 25 to 30 minutes of the show and the remaining minutes are allotted to questions from callers. The show is aired from 9:05 to 9:45 a.m.

“We usually have 15 to 20 questions for him to answer,” McPhillips said.

McPhillips said although a list of questions had not been prepared yet, questions would be asked concerning the tuition increase, the effects of the decisions made in Springfield Wednesday during the legislative veto session, the possibility of salary increases and the record enrollment.

Other questions might focus on the athletic department and the new athletic director, the success of Unity through Diversity Week, the falling debris from the Holmes Student Center and the problems with parking on campus.

In the past, questions have been addressed concerning home expenditures and audits from the auditor general, McPhillips said.
