NIU also has some students that are in the Air Force ROTC program. Granted, we have to drive to IIT one or two times a week, yet that should be all the more reason to write more about the AFROTC. The only way for the AFROTC cadets to get more people and our own detachment at NIU is to get more recognition. The best place that I can think of for that recognition is the Northern Star, which thousands of students read everyday. The same weekend the Army ROTC detachment spent at FTX, the NIU Air Force cadets spent doing their training at Great Lakes Naval Training Base, yet nothing was mentioned.
