Huskie Food Pantry

NIU Students can stop by the Huskie Food Pantry to restock on groceries for free.

The food pantry stocks different food options each week. It typically has eggs, rice, pasta, meats, soups, vegetables, fruits and snacks available.

The pantry will be open 5:30 to 7 p.m. May 30 at the Chick Evans Field House. It will be open every other Thursday.

An NIU OneCard is required to enter, and bringing reusable bags is encouraged. Arrive at 5 p.m. to be part of the first lottery round, giving you a chance to be one of the first entrants.

Swap Don’t Shop

Visit the Swap Don’t Shop pop-up to exchange clothes.

The shop lets you exchange a gently-used article of clothing for another. You can also exchange small household items, but no large electronics.

It will be open 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday May 30 at the Chick Evans Field House Room 154. Throughout the year, the shop will be open the last of Thursday of every month.

Donations can be made at the Student Recreation Center or can be brought to the shop itself.
