Suspect Deandre D. Johnson, 27, of DeKalb, was arrested and charged with armed violence and aggravated battery, according to a NIU Police safety bulletin.

The suspect is linked to a previous incident. At 12:25 a.m. April 15, an aggravated assault was reported to have occurred in the 400 block of Russell Road.
