Working at the Northern Star has taught me numerous invaluable skills as well as provided a sense of fulfillment and community, and we would like to extend that same opportunity to you.

The Northern Star is opening its doors to students April 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. Our office is located in the Campus Life Building, Room 130. The open house is a chance for you to get to know us and see where you fit into our family.

During the event, editors from each section will be available to answer your questions and to do on-the-spot hiring. If you’re not familiar with what a specific section does, this is your chance to find out.

We’ll be looking for writers and reporters for news, perspective, sports and entertainment and would love to see you there. Don’t worry about experience; we’re eager to help you get that here and to learn our style.

The Northern Star has given me so much, from writing clips to friends to opening up job opportunities, and there is something here for everyone.

As the voice of the students, it’s important to us to have representation in our staff, and we encourage anyone interested to stop by. Even if you’re not sure or ready to commit, drop by for some snacks and information.
