President Trump to nominate NIU professor to Administration

President Donald Trump announced his intent to nominate an NIU Professor to serve as Ambassador at Large for Global Criminal Justice in the State department.
NIU Professor of Law Morse H. Tan is President Trump’s intended nominee, according to a White House press release from this morning. The press release said the ambassadorship is a “key position in his Administration.”
Tan has a B.A. and M.A. from Wheaton College and holds a J.D. from Northwestern University, according to NIU’s website. His work on North Korea has been received by the United Nations and the U.S. leaders who led negotiations with North Korea.
Tan did not immediately respond to a request to comment.
