German named to All-MAC Second Team for second consecutive year

For the second consecutive season, men’s basketball junior guard Eugene German was named to the 2018-19 All Mid-American Conference second team.
German averaged 18.8 points, 5.6 rebonds and 2.9 assists per contest on 44.9 percent shooting from the field and 37.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc this season in MAC regular-season play.
His scoring average was second in the MAC after leading the conference during the 2017-18 season.

German nearly doubled his distribution output from last season, 1.4 assists per game to 2.9, while increasing his rebounds and steals per game, and 3-point percentage in conference play.
He recorded game career-highs in made 3-pointers, assists, steals and rebounds in MAC play this season, including the his first career double-double with 20 points and career-best 10 rebounds in NIU’s Jan. 22 victory over the Buffalo Bulls.
German and the Huskies will face-off against the Toledo Rockets 8 p.m. Monday in the Convocation Center in the first round of the MAC Tournament.
