German named to All-MAC All-Tournament team

Junior guard Eugene German was named to the Mid-American Conference All-Tournament Team Saturday after the conclusion of the tournament.
German averaged 27.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game during the Huskies run that saw them reach the semi-finals. While putting out a high-scoring output, German remained efficient. He shot 66.7 percent from the field while knocking down 52.4 percent of his shots from behind the arc.
NIU opened the tournament with a March 11 80-61 win over the University of Ohio. German scored 23 points while grabbing five rebounds.
German continued his run March 14 against Toledo as the junior dropped 27 points and seven rebounds to help the Huskies make their first semi-finals appearance in 16 years.
In the semi-final contest against Bowling Green, German scored 31 points, with five assists and four rebounds.
On the all-tournament team, German joins Buffalo senior guards C.J. Massinburg and Jeremy Harris and Bowling Green senior forward Demajeo Wiggins and junior guard Dylan Frye.
German becomes the third player in NIU history to be named to the All-Tournament Team, joining Allen Rayhorn, who earned MVP honors in 1982, and P.J Smith in 2003.
