DeKALB — The Student Association Senate approved the appointment of two senators during Sunday’s meeting at the Holmes Student Center Sky Room.

Cassandra Pilcher, junior psychology and sociology major, and sophomore marketing major Jalen Washington were sworn into the Senate.

Two other potential senators, Layla Werner and Sheila Martinez, were not in attendance at the Senate meeting. Morgan Lightle, who was to potentially be approved as the SA director of information technology, was also absent. The agenda item was tabled.

For the upcoming elections 17 senators are listed on the 2019 Election Ballot. District One has four candidates running, District Two has two, four candidates are running for District Three and two candidates for District Four and also District Five.
